Backyard Capital is a small business loan. It works by enabling locals to lend small (or large) amounts of money to a portfolio of neighborhood businesses. Your business pays a reasonable rate, and the locals earn a return on their investment.

When you break it down, loans from your point-of-sale provider or an online lender typically have APRs above 30%. Bank loans cost a lot less, but they take a long time to materialize. We know we can do better with Backyard Capital.
Simpler than you think.
Your neighbors are surprisingly reasonable lenders. But, they don’t currently have the tools to directly lend you money while controlling their downside risk and earning a return on their investment. That’s where we come in.

With Backyard Capital, we’re aiming to combine the low cost of bank loans with the speed and convenience of loans from online lenders.
We plan to target loans between $2,500 and $50,000, which can be hard to find at existing lenders.
Is the loan application complicated?
Our goal is to approve Backyard Capital loans in days, not months, and we’re not planning to have a minimum credit score or business history.
We expect to make decisions primarily based on your history with Backyard. The longer you’ve been accepting Backyard payments, the sooner you’ll have access to Backyard Capital!
